First Shabbat

Today was our first day out as a team. Because our sleep schedule is off, people woke up at various times. I prepared a shared breakfast of challah bread French toast since I was up at 4am and had the time :). We discussed what to expect for the day while ascending to the old city and the western wall. I shot limited video since it was Sabbath and didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable or offended. We ate at a great place in the Christian quarter before heading back. We came home and debriefed the day as well as went over the upcoming weeks of events and service. We will be doing so many varied and interesting events! The entire team is excited! We are cooking dinner and will be going out to celebrate the end of Shabbat. Supposedly, the city lights up with activity and fun! I will post more videos showing that.
